What does “Volume” mean?

Search Volume refers to the number of search queries of the last tracked month.

It serves as the basis for all trend calculations.

  • Very low volume: usually a few thousand monthly searches (category-dependent)

  • Very high volume: several hundred thousand monthly searches

What does “3 Month Trend” mean?

The 3-month trend indicates how the latest tracked search volume has changed compared to three months prior. The growth rate is especially emphasized.

What does “6 Month Trend” mean?

The 6-month trend describes how the latest tracked search volume has evolved compared to six months ago.

What does “12 Month Trend” mean?

The 12-month trend shows the change in search volume compared to one year ago, highlighting longer-term developments.

What does “YoY Growth” mean?

Year-over-Year (YoY) Growth describes the percentage difference between the total search volume of the last 12 months and that of the 12 months before. It indicates how search interest has changed year-over-year.
