Purpose of the Feature
The Trending Combinations feature analyzes newly launched products within a selected time period and identifies combinations of product type and specific themes (Effects, Attributes, Concerns, or Certificates) that show the strongest growth.
The goal is to detect emerging market movements early, identify rising trend topics, and support data-driven innovation and positioning decisions.
What You Can See
This section displays combinations that are growing dynamically within the selected category and defined analysis period.
Each combination consists of:
a product type (e.g. Face Serum, Facial Care, Mist)
combined with a specific theme (e.g. strengthening, antioxidants, sensitive skin)
Additionally, the following information is shown:
the number of newly launched products with this combination
the percentage growth rate
example products from the market
This allows users to understand:
which themes are currently gaining relevance
which positionings are growing most dynamically
where innovation activity is increasing within the market
Explanation of Growth
The displayed Growth value (e.g. +24%) represents the percentage change in the number of newly launched products compared to the previous period of equal length.
Example:
If the selected analysis period is β3 months,β the system compares the number of launches in the current 3 months with the 3 months before that.
A value of +24% means:
The number of newly launched products with this combination is 24% higher than in the previous comparison period.
Important:
Growth measures momentum, not total market size.
A combination may show strong growth even if the absolute number of products is still relatively small.
High growth values can indicate emerging trends.
