Product Positioning

The Industry Benchmark Analysis section provides an overview of the most common product characteristics within the analyzed market. It is structured across effects, attributes, concerns, active ingredients, certificates, pricing ranges, and product sizes.

All values are based on the currently applied filters and update automatically.

The goal is to identify overarching market trends and enable data-driven product decisions.

Effects

This table shows the most commonly promoted product effects (e.g. moisturizing, natural, soothing).

For each effect, the following metrics are displayed:

  • Number of products featuring this effect

  • Market share within the total portfolio

  • Growth over the last 3 months

→ Useful for identifying the most in-demand product benefits and positioning trends in the market.

Attributes

This section shows which claims are most commonly used across products (e.g. vegan, paraben free, cruelty free).

For each attribute, the following is displayed:

  • Total number of listed products

  • Share of the overall market

  • Growth rate over the last 3 months

→ Particularly useful for understanding regulatory, sustainability, and positioning trends.

Concerns

This table highlights the main consumer needs and skin concerns addressed by products (e.g. wrinkles, sensitive skin, skin barrier).

For each concern, you will see:

  • Number of associated products

  • Market share within the total portfolio

  • Growth over the last 3 months

→ Helps identify which consumer needs are currently driving innovation and product development.

Active Ingredients

This table lists the most commonly used active ingredients in the analyzed products (e.g. Sodium Hyaluronate, Panthenol, Niacinamide).

Displayed metrics include:

  • Number of products containing the ingredient

  • Growth over the last 3 months

Certificates

For each certificate, the following is shown:

Pricing Distribution

This section visualizes the price distribution of all products across predefined price ranges (e.g. €5–10, €25–50, €100–200).

Displayed metrics:

Top Sizes

This overview shows the most common product sizes (e.g. 30 ml, 50 ml, 150 ml).

For each size, you will see:
